It’s the last day of the month. That’s not all that makes today special. It’s also a Friday which means that it’s time for this week’s Career Karma Projects Spotlight.
The creativity in the community has been off the charts this week. We’ve seen everything from an app that helps grant managers track their paperwork to an app that connects female digital nomads who are travelling around the world.
Let’s take a look at the top ten projects submitted to Career Karma Projects in the last week.
This Week’s Top Projects
#1: DN Connect
DN Connect is an app for female digital nomads to connect with like-minded people around the world. Sole Piana, the creator of this app, worked on every stage of the design process from ideation to final testing. Sole Piana is a student at allWomen.
#2: Marvel Index
Marven Index allows you to create a personal list of your favorite Marvel comics to read at any time. Users can track their reading history and learn about new Marvel characters. This project was created by Calvin Curry, a student at Nashville Software School.
#3: Grant Tracker
Grant Tracker is a productivity app for grant managers. This app allows grant managers to keep track of their reports to funders without having to use paper. Grant Tracker was built by Naijeria Towett, a student at CodeOp.
#4: Tri’Harder
Tri’Harder allows you to create your own running routes and track them. This project was built using Ruby on Rails, React.js, and the Google Maps API. Tri’Harder was created by Daniel Bourdier, a student at App Academy.
#5: CoachMe
CoachMe is a design for an app that allows you to speak with personalized coaches. These coaches can help you get through all of life’s challenges, from career transitions to dealing with relationships. This project was built by Adrian Morosanu.
Misael Abreu, a student at Designlab, redesigned a website for “Bread and Roses.”
Bread and Roses are a Massachusetts-based soup kitchen which serves over 50,000 meals per year to the surrounding community. The new website is more responsive and optimized to facilitate donor engagement.
#7: Orgapp
Orgapp makes it easy to track your projects. Users can create projects and categorize them using customized tags. Orgapp was built using Ruby on Rails, SASS, and HTML, by Denis Oluka, a student at Microverse.
#8: Goodbean Coffee
Goodbean Coffee is a demo of an ecommerce website. This project was built using Python Django, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. This project comes with a fully-functioning payment feature built using Stripe.
Goodbean Coffee was designed and built by Leslie Reddy, a student at Code Institute.
#9: Interactive COVID19 Bubble Chart
Interactive COVID19 Bubble Chart uses D3.js to render COVID19 data. This project shows the number of confirmed cases, hospitalization rate, and other key metrics. This project was built by Daniel Bourdier, a student at App Academy.
#10: Meet&Eat
Meet&Eat is a web application that helps you find the best places to eat. You can share the places you find with your friends that you’ve discovered through Meet&Eat. This project was built by Cristopher Palacio, Asad Khan, Mateusz Stacel, and Jackie Dunne, who are all students at Makers Academy.
