For those of you in the States, happy Independence Day Weekend! Even if you’re not celebrating the holiday, there’s still something big happening right now: this week’s Career Karma Projects Spotlight!
Each week we go through all the project submissions on Career Karma Projects and feature the top ones in this article. This week, we’ve seen projects ranging from an app that helps rock climbers track their sessions all the way to a website for pop-up shop owners to connect with customers.

This Week’s Top Projects
#1: Boulder Buddy
Boulder Buddy is an app that helps rock climbers track their sessions. Boulder Buddy was created by Jonathan Durr, who currently attends Nashville Software School, and built using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the React framework.
#2: Covid-19 Stats
Covid-19 Stats is a mobile web application that presents data from the Covid-19 API. This project allows you to see data both as a list, and on the globe. Covid-19 Stats was built by Simon Wathigo, a student at Microverse.
#3: Shopzilla
Shopzilla is an e-commerce application for pop-up shop owners to connect with customers. The platform supports accounts for both buyers and sellers. Shopzilla was built by Julie Tran, who is currently a student at Thinkful.
Track The Feedback is a data pipeline which scrapes posts from Instagram. Track the Feedback analyzes the sentiment of each post’s captions and divides each post into categories depending on their contents. This tool was created by Amirali Yazdi, a student at SPICED Academy.
#5: Dashboard
Dashboard is a full-stack project that helps businesses manage appointments with customers online. The platform aims to reduce the need for time-consuming paperwork when tracking appointments and managing clients. This tool was created by Oleksii Sodolinskyi, a student at SPICED Academy.
#6: Music Promotions
Music Promotions is a front-end web design template for a band. The creator, Paul Friel, a student at Code Institute, themed the site for The Monkees, a famous American rock and pop band from the late 1960s.
API Key Proxy Server is a tool that allows you to automatically populate your API keys when making a web request. This means that you don’t have to upload your keys on the front-end, which can be a security risk if you commit them to a public repository.
This project was built by Mauricio Robayo.
#8: Cook With Me
Cook With Me is a website that helps you find cooking classes at local restaurants. You can log into the site, create your own cooking class, and find classes that are right for you. This project was created by David Carlson, a student at Coding Dojo.
#9: NetBuddy
NetBuddy helps people studying for Cisco system administrator exams save their device configurations. Users can create an account, save their configuration files, and take note of the purpose of each file.
This project was built by Trey Suiter, a student at Nashville Software School.
#10: Greenly
Greenly is a UX design for an app that helps you find the best sustainable products to buy. Greenly features a comprehensive directory of sustainable products, a feature that allows you to chat with an expert, and more.
This project was built by Alyson Koblick, a student at CareerFoundry.
