Every week, the Career Karma team features the best projects on Career Karma Projects in this article. It’s an opportunity to cast light on the creators who are doing amazing work every day.
We’ve seen a broad range of projects this week. One creator built a social media platform for book lovers; another creator built a Dungeons and Dragons quiz game.
Let’s look at the top 10 projects submitted by code newbies and bootcamp students and graduates from the last week.
This Week’s Top Projects
Book Reviews Social Media is a social network for book lovers. Book aficionados can post reviews about books they have read and comment on book reviews. You can also follow other users to keep up to date with what they are reading. This project was built by Patricia Chrystelle Manezeu, a student at Microverse.
#2: Recipes Catalog
Recipes Catalog is an application that helps you find new recipes to cook alongside a list of the ingredients you’ll need. Recipes Catalog was built by Tresor Bireke, a student at Microverse, using React and the MealDB API.
#3: The Black Market
The Black Market is an e-commerce site where all the products are the color black. You can find furniture, vehicles, household products, and more on the site. The Black Market was built by Omar Muhanna, Dan Bartlett, Sean McCoy, and Laure Spieker, who are all students at Thinkful.
Muffins Mastermind is an online game based on mastermind that can be played on both phones and tablets. You can play either by yourself or with a friend. Muffins Mastermind was built by Armando Soto, a student at Microverse.
#5: GFPT
GFPT is a personal website for Geoff Foden, a personal trainer. On the site, users can read about Geoff Foden, his exercise tips, and book a training session. This project was built by James Green.
#6: DnD Quiz Game
DnD Quiz Game is a game that tests your knowledge of Dungeons and Dragons. You’ll be asked a series of challenging questions to assess whether you are a master of the game. This project was built by Ariadna Diaz.
#7: Medico
Medico is a platform that connects specialized doctors to patients in need. Users can filter out doctors by their specialty area and years of experience. This project was built by Unegbu Kingsley, a student at Microverse.
#8: Panorama
Panorama is a platform that simplifies employee performance appraisals. This project helps bosses track which employees have completed appraisals and view upcoming meetings. Panorama was built by Casey Cook, a student at Nucamp.
Skin Cancer Scanner is a data analysis and machine learning project that identifies whether the skin in an image could potentially contain cancerous cells. This project was built by Yukari Guenka Yshida, a student at Ironhack.
#10: Sportify
Sportify is an app that helps you find sporting events to attend and assists you in organizing your own. This project was built using React and Node.js by Mathias Gautier.
