The pursuit of knowledge is an amazing pastime. The learning process can be frustrating at times, but it’s always worth it for those eureka moments. You probably fondly remember a time you grasped a difficult concept in school. Or maybe you recall the first time that a project you worked on in your spare time came to life the way you envisioned it.
And though knowledge for its own sake is great, in the modern era, you don’t have to choose between learning and getting paid. Plenty of learning options gives students a treasure trove of knowledge that they didn’t have before. These schools also set those same students on the path to more satisfying and lucrative employment.
LearningFuze is one such educator, a program with a storied history of success and community involvement. This school does more than just train people to work as web developers, data scientists, and UX designers. It incorporates a robust career services education that many graduates believe gave them the opportunity they needed to enter the field of their choice.
This school is confident that anyone who successfully completes its program can find their place in the industry. Read on to find out how LearningFuze has earned its confidence.

LearningFuze is a coding bootcamp based in Orange County, California. It was one of the first in Southern California and was the first coding bootcamp based in Orange County upon its founding in 2014. As the region has become a tech hotbed, LearningFuze has been there every step of the way.
This organization has been regularly partnering with employers on Diversity and Inclusion scholarships, sending speakers to tech panels and local schools, and partnering with its local Startup Grind chapter. All of these efforts show LearningFuze’s commitment to bringing up the next talented tech generation in a more inclusive way.
LearningFuze offers three programs: web development, data science, and UI/UX design. The web development program offers both full-time and part-time options, while the data science and UI/UX design courses are part-time only options.
In the Web Development bootcamp, students learn to build dynamic websites with industry-standard tools like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The Data Science bootcamp offers students a rare opportunity to enter the data science field without any experience. The UI/UX Design bootcamp covers UI/UX design principles in a flexible and modular structure.
Beyond its intensive bootcamps, LearningFuze’s outcomes show that the educator provides a competitive technical and job-hunting education.
LearningFuze Outcomes
According to the bootcamp, 94.9 percent of its Web Development graduates in 2020 found jobs in the field after graduation. These graduates most often landed jobs as software engineers, front end developers, backend developers, and junior software engineers.
The majority of graduates landed a salary between $55,001 and $60,000 per year, according to LearningFuze’s outcomes report. However, many graduates also landed jobs with salaries between $70,001 and $120,000.
Those figures are in line with the national salary averages for entry-level workers in those common job titles. Junior-level software engineers earn around $61,379 per year, according to PayScale. Beginner front-end developers tend to make around $60,788 per year, while backend developers usually start at around $61,042. Entry-level software engineers can expect to earn around $77,166 per year, according to PayScale.
These outcomes show why LearningFuze has been earning high praise from its students and graduates. We’ll get to what those graduates are saying a bit later, but first, let’s discuss the career services portion of the program that is responsible for a lot of its success.
Career Services
Career services at many institutions are limited to active students or recent graduates. LearningFuze believes that in these cases, calling these programs “career services” is misleading, as they can feel more like one-time “job search” services. This school’s option works a bit differently.
LearningFuze offers lifetime career services to all students. This means that once you graduate from the program, your time in the LearningFuze family isn’t over. You’ll have access to continued learning options, vast networks of both alumni and employers, and more. You’ll be supported throughout your career growth after graduation, so there’s no stress about your first job being the only one you’ll have help finding.
The career services at LearningFuze start in Week 1 and go all the way through the program. The bootcamp’s goal is to prepare students for their job search so that they can start looking for jobs as soon as they feel comfortable.
The first half of the program includes workshops on common interview questions, a LinkedIn optimization process with multiple rounds of feedback, creating a foundation for their resume, polishing Github profiles, and more. Students also start practicing algorithms and doing their first whiteboards in this stage.
In the second half of the program, students do two mock interviews and continue building out their LinkedIn network. They also sit through workshops that cover application, networking, and negotiation hacks. Before graduating, student portfolios must be approved based on meeting all requirements for a quality LinkedIn profile, a one-page resume, and two projects vetted by a senior engineer.
Throughout the course, LearningFuze students can attend Lunch & Learns one to two times per month. In these sessions, employers come in to talk about their company, their path into tech, and what they look for in new hires. Current students and alumni can attend these sessions, and this isn’t the only extra thing that the program offers to its alumni.
The support includes access to modules from each part-time course for graduates from all programs. For example, full-time web development graduates can take these part-time web development modules for free, while UI/UX and data science graduates can take each module for $500.

“The 14 weeks before the start of my career.”
I attended the 14-week remote full-immersion web development program and I couldn’t be happier with the choice that I made.
The program can be challenging, but with the support from the senior developers, I was able to press on and learn the ins and outs of web development. They taught in-demand tech skills like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Node.js just to name a few.
All throughout the program, we simulate an environment comparable to one you would find at a real tech company. It definitely prepares you to be adapted to that lifestyle. The instructors are top-notch and every member of the staff will help you finish and prime you to land a job by setting up workshops to dress up your LinkedIn profile and your resume. My only regret is to not do this earlier!

“A fully immersive web development program.”
As someone who is credentialed in secondary education, I can wholeheartedly say the instructors and curriculum at LearningFuze are head and shoulders above their competition. Many of their practices I wish I could have brought to my own classroom. Not only do they teach you to code, they refine your ability to teach yourself.
Both my instructors, Cody and Tim, were thoroughly knowledgeable about the technology we were learning and were capable of guiding me in every step of my education. They also empowered me to learn on my own to practice how learning will be once I’m in the industry. The curriculum promoted this, helping you better understand industry documentation instead of watering down difficult concepts.
And throughout my instruction, LearningFuze’s career services helped me put together a strong resume and advised me with how to best approach the job search, an area that I personally have struggled with. Cass especially has put in extra effort to provide individual feedback on my resume and to coach me around job interviews.
TJ has also been pivotal in my career choices. He was willing to set up meetings for me to speak with web developers and data scientists when I was trying to decide on which career to pursue, and this was before I even enrolled at LearningFuze.
And lastly, I doubt I will need it for much longer but it is reassuring to know that LearningFuze offers their career services indefinitely after completing their program free of charge. I highly HIGHLY endorse LearningFuze’s full-immersion web-development program and recommend you go in person for the full experience.

“An incredible experience!”
I graduated from LearningFuze’s Full Immersion program, and I can’t believe how far I have come in just a few months! I went from not knowing hardly anything about web development to feeling confident I can succeed anywhere as a developer!
LearningFuze is constantly reviewing and changing their curriculum so that their students will be equipped with the tools and technologies that are popular today. They structure their program to simulate a work environment similar to how junior and senior developers communicate and work together.
There were definitely long days of coding, but I loved every second of it, and every assignment is fun and exciting. The instructors are incredibly helpful and explain topics really well. Throughout the program, they have dedicated career advisors that help you set up your LinkedIn profile, resume, GitHub, and portfolio.
They will also do mock interviews with you and give you feedback and tips. Along with all of that, they have a great alumni network and are constantly bringing guest speakers in every couple of weeks to share tips and their experiences in their jobs or in the job searching process. It was definitely worth the money and time, definitely one of the best decisions of my life!
