50 partial scholarships will be awarded to students to be put towards tuition for Ironhack’s bootcamps. Ironhack is searching for scholarship winners who are hard-working, motivated, and passionate about tech.
To apply for this scholarship, you will need to fill out your application online, complete a technical aptitude test, and submit a video using VidAsk telling Ironhack why you are pursuing a career in tech, and why you should be chosen for this scholarship. The entire process can be completed in a little over an hour. It should be noted that the scholarship is only valid for the Miami and remote US campuses. You can begin your application process here.
Even if you aren’t an Uber user, there are other ways Ironhack makes its bootcamps accessible for you. Add a variety of courses and a strong set of values to Ironhack’s ease of access, and you’ll see why so many students are interested in attending one of the bootcamp programs offered here.
What Is Ironhack?
Though Ironhack is currently based in Miami, the global bootcamp was actually founded in Madrid back in 2013. The founders of Ironhack saw an unemployment crisis in Spain and decided to help solve it by offering a web development bootcamp in Madrid. By 2014, another campus had opened in Barcelona, and then another in Miami. Soon enough, Ironhack was offering four different bootcamp programs at nine global locations across 3 continents.
Since beginning in 2013, Ironhack has really focused on expanding globally, specifically targeting cities in need of increased access to tech education. The cities chosen for Ironhack campuses have yielded over 8,000 graduates and members of the diverse Ironhack community. And now, with remote options becoming easier than ever to access, students are able to get in on the Ironhack action even if they don’t live near one of the campuses.
Ironhack’s Global Locations
In a COVID-stricken world, remote access is a commodity and Ironhack has you covered. Though it is still completely possible to attend onsite courses at one of the school’s many locations, it can be difficult for students to make that happen. This is why many students currently prefer Ironhack’s remote programs.
Though the COVID-19 pandemic has certainly boosted the performance of the remote program options, they won’t end when COVID does. Ironhack has spent the past few months fine-tuning all of the remote bootcamp programs to ensure that even in a post-COVID world, students can continue to study remotely when they want to, not just when they have to.
In addition to offering remote campus courses, you can also enroll in onsite classes at any one of Ironhack’s nine campus locations. In the United States, you can study in Miami, Florida, which some are calling the next Silicon Valley. If you are interested in studying in Europe, you can study at the first Ironhack campus in Madrid, as well as Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, or Lisbon. There are even options in Latin America, where you can study in Sao Paulo or Mexico City.
What Programs Are Offered?
Each program offered by Ironhack consists of a similar program structure and is fully remote. You will begin the program by completing the self-guided course pre-work, which takes anywhere between 20 to 60 hours to complete depending on the course. This self-guided portion must be completed before the cohort starts and you’re able to move on to the main content of the course: the remote live Ironhack modules
Each program contains three modules, focusing on the fundamentals of the subject, an intermediate study of the material, and projects. The projects you work on are designed to not only test and further develop your skills, but to prepare you for real-world applications of your studies.

How Can You Finance Your Tuition?
Alongside awesome scholarship opportunities, such as the partnership between Ironhack and Uber, there are a few other ways to finance your Ironhack tuition. One of the most popular options is to apply for a loan through Climb Credit. Climb Credit is one of Ironhack’s premier partners and tends to offer the most options for Ironhack’s students with easy, low-interest options. Ironhack is also partnered with Skills Fund, and students can apply for both loans and living stipends through this partner.
The other options you can choose for financing in the United States at Ironhack are a pay-as-you-go plan or deferred tuition plan. These would both involve coming to an agreement with Ironhack and Climb Credit regarding how many payments you would make in what amount, and creating a schedule of when the payments are to be made. Check out more info on how these loans are set up for full-time students and part-time students.
Payment options do vary based upon your location, and the ones mentioned here apply to students based in the United States. Be sure to check Ironhack’s financing options page to determine what payment methods are available for you if you are not based in the United States.
In addition to financing options, Ironhack also offers scholarship campaigns. Currently, they are offering both the Uber scholarship and the Women in Tech scholarship. As stated earlier, you can receive up to $5,000 toward your tuition with the Uber scholarship. The Women in Tech scholarship is awarded to women and can cover up to 10 percent of web development or data analytics bootcamp.
