Computer Science is the study of computers and computational systems. Computer scientists deal with the theory, design, development, and the application of software and software systems.
With the tech industry growing rapidly, many students are adopting Computer Science as their academic career field. With a Computer Science degree, you can find a job with an average salary in the range of $50k-$130k per year according to Payscale.
Many students run away from the idea of loans and try to find different ways to fund their education. Scholarships are one of the most popular ways students use to pay some part of their tuition or cover basic expenses. This is true whether they are looking for ways to pay for a coding bootcamp or an academic degree.
Fortunately for the Computer Science field, there are many scholarships for students enrolled in the field. Let’s take a look at a list of some of these scholarships across U.S.
Important note: When applying for scholarships, please make sure you meet all the eligibility requirements. It is very important that you submit your application with all the required materials on or before the stated deadline. Your application can get rejected if you are missing a document or submit your application even a few minutes after the deadline.
Pro Tip: When applying, show your enthusiasm and relevancy to the scholarship (how getting this scholarship will help you on a personal level or help you achieve specific goals). Also keep your community service game strong, be an exceptional student in your field, and you will be all set!
