With companies shifting their operations online, the need for professionals who can navigate a remote-first world and design and maintain web infrastructures has never been greater. The good news: This has created a windfall of job opportunities for software engineers and other tech professionals. The problem is that due to the rapidly evolving tech space, there are not enough skilled tech talents to fill the gap in the field.
Working to close this talent gap are coding bootcamps, which are designed to equip learners with today’s most in-demand skills in tech at a fraction of the cost and time it takes to earn a four-year degree. By focusing on hands-on training in sprints, coding bootcamps seek to produce job-ready software developers.
Coding bootcamps have risen in popularity within the past decade. With so many options to pick from, choosing the right one might present some challenges. However, students often use outcomes, career services, and course structures to inform their decisions.
One coding bootcamp that checks all the boxes and has secured its place as a top coding school is 4Geeks Academy.
4Geeks Academy offers part-time and full-time programs to help job hunters and career-switchers learn crucial tech skills in less than 3 months.

Founded in 2015, 4Geeks Academy is a state-licensed coding bootcamp that prides itself as a place where developers grow and thrive. It explores different methods of knowledge transfer to both equip and engage its students. Students choose 4Geeks for different reasons, primary of which are its lifetime access to mentorship, information-rich curriculum, robust career services, and support system.
4Geeks Academy was founded by visionaries and serial entrepreneurs Marcelo Ricigliano and Alejandro Sanchez. Driven by the need to build a revolutionary coding academy that ensures a balance between work and personal life and favors quality over quantity, the duo built 4Geeks Academy.
Marcelo holds a masters’ degree in law and has founded many startups. He was the CEO of Vikua, a company considered as one of the 30 most promising technology startups in Latin America. Alejandro, on the other hand, is an experienced coder who started at the age of 13 and has since founded several startups. He coded the 4Geeks Academy platform and he is one of its coding professors.
Today, their vision has created 4Geeks Academy campuses in different cities in Latin America, Europe, and the United States and a large alumni network comprising 1,500 graduates.
Why Choose 4Geeks Academy?
4Geeks Academy offers several programs covering three career tracks: full stack development, software engineering, and AI/machine learning engineering. Its programs are complemented with a robust support system, career services, and a vibrant community of students and tutors.
Project-Led Curriculum
Hands-on training lies at the heart of the 4Geeks Academy learning experience. Put another way, students go beyond learning and memorizing theories. Instead, they develop mastery by using their acquired skills and knowledge to build projects.
QA analyst Luis Rivera and web developer Naila Kaliyeva, both of whom are 4Geeks graduates for example, built a platform called Raspberry Sky that lets you track geolocation, wind, and temperature of space-launched rockets. The platform also allows you to launch and track your rocket.
Alums Jonathan Perez, Sebastian Pinto, and Paola Castro, meanwhile, built a platform called IMS that takes inventory and tracks pharmaceutical products and their delivery vehicles. This platform was built using JavaScript, Python, and React.

Unlimited Community Support
Every student that enrolls in 4Geeks Academy automatically becomes a member of Geekpal, a community that offers unlimited coding support to students. ‘Never code alone again’ is the slogan.
The school maintains a maximum of eight students per class at a student-teacher ratio of 5:1. Each student receives an average of 50 tutorials and the average response time to student questions is 15 minutes.
This tight-knit setup allows for a higher classroom engagement. There is also a mentorship program where students receive one-on-one in-person or remote personalized guidance both during and after they finish the program.
4Geeks Academy campuses are spread over three continents, which is why the bootcamp makes sure that students have access to online learning resources and the mentorship they need without a time-zone barrier.
There is also a community called BreatheCode that accelerates the way junior developers evolve and grow using technology. Junior developers can also help community members by contributing to their code.
4Geeks students also use Slack for information decimation and asking questions. About 2,100 international students use the Slack medium to support one another.

Upfront Payment
Students can pay the bulk amount of the total cost of the program in one go or in thirds. Climb Credit
Climb Credit offers loans to students regardless of their credit scores. Students can request for a 42- or 60-month loan program and students can make monthly payments as low as $152 if they are enrolled in a part-time program.
Deferred Payment
Pay nothing up front in exchange for nine percent of your salary for a set period. Just like in the US, there are also Income Sharing Agreements (ISAs) available in Chile and Spain with other partners.
Quotanda
If students are unable to secure a loan with either Skills Fund or Climb Credit, they might be able to get one through Quotanda. How Quotanda works is really simple: bring a co-signer and a small deposit and you’ll be accepted.
